Autonomous Motion Control: Less Setup, Reliable Results

Drop your material in and let the machine do the heavy lifting. From auto-sensing warped surfaces to preventing head collisions, intelligent control handles the adjustments so your jobs finish smoothly on the first try.

More Parts From Every Sheet

Common-Line Cutting-Shared Edges, 25% Less Waste

Up to 25% more parts per sheet — the same steel covers a quarter more work.

The D-Series intelligently merges shared borders between nested parts for true edge-to-edge cutting with virtually zero clearance. By eliminating the wasteful spacing typical of conventional toolpaths, it boosts material utilization by up to 25% and slashes total travel distance. You spend less time waiting and less money on raw stock—substantially lowering your cost per part.

No Setup Time Between Jobs

Automatic Edge Finding-Drop & Cut, Zero Manual Alignment

Offcuts become billable stock instead of scrap.

Drop your sheet in, and let the system do the math. It will automatically locates the material’s edge to align your cutting path with sub-millimeter accuracy. No tedious manual calibration. No wasted stock. Just fast setup, maximum material yield, and batch-to-batch consistency.

Fewer Parts Scrapped

Micro-Joint Bridging-Anti-Tipping Safety Anchors

Clean release on thin stock — no re-cutting of ruined nests.

When cutting thin materials, heat warpage can cause cutouts to pop up and strike the moving laser head. Micro-joints act as tiny, invisible bridges that lock parts firmly in place until the job is done. Break them free effortlessly post-cut—zero dropped parts, zero costly collisions, and 100% peace of mind during automated runs.

Work You Currently Turn Away

Intelligent Obstacle Avoidance-Collision-Free Rapid Travel

Site work and repairs quoted from the same machine.

When processing complex or uneven sheets, the intelligent capacitive sensing laser head detects obstacles in real time and automatically lifts to avoid them—without pausing the job. This effectively prevents collisions while ensuring both workflow efficiency and equipment safety.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The D-Series is designed to make a wide range of metalworking tasks more accessible, even if you're new to laser equipment.

  • Preloaded process parameters: The system comes with preset cutting parameters for more than 10 material types, helping you get started without having to configure every setting from scratch.
  • Intuitive software control: Software-based controls help simplify machine operation and process setup.
  • Online video tutorials: Step-by-step instructional videos are available to guide you through the machine's individual functions.
  • In-person support in the U.S.: You can schedule a visit to our U.S. branch for an in-person demonstration and training guidance.

Whether you're setting up your first workshop or adding new capabilities to an existing business, we're here to help you get started.

Before purchasing a D-Series machine, make sure your workshop has adequate space, the correct electrical setup, a suitable assist-gas supply, proper ventilation, appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and the materials you plan to process.

1. Workbench and Space Requirements

The D-Series includes two configurations with different machine and laser-source dimensions.
ConfigurationCNC Machine DimensionsFiber Laser Source DimensionsD300 (800W)865 × 905 × 715 mm500 × 380 × 529 mmD600 (1200W)1,110 × 1,205 × 775 mm680 × 430 × 580 mm
We recommend planning for a workbench or designated installation area of at least 1,200 × 1,200 mm. Because the CNC unit and fiber laser source occupy separate spaces, confirm that your actual layout can accommodate both components, along with adequate clearance for operation, ventilation, maintenance, and cable routing.

2. Electrical Requirements

A dedicated circuit is required.
Voltage and circuit: A dedicated 240V / 40A circuit is required.
Breaker and wiring: The specified setup calls for a two-pole 40A circuit breaker and 8 AWG wiring.
Peak current draw: The machine can draw up to 30A under peak operating conditions.
Workshop capacity: If you also operate air compressors, dust collectors, HVAC systems, welders, or other high-power equipment, make sure your electrical panel has sufficient capacity for the combined load.
Do not share the machine's dedicated circuit with other equipment or general-purpose outlets. Have a qualified electrician verify the circuit, wiring, breaker, grounding, and available panel capacity before installation. Confirm the final electrical specifications against the requirements for your exact machine configuration.

3. Assist Gas Supply

Prepare oxygen or nitrogen with a purity of at least 99.99%, along with a compatible pressure regulator.
The appropriate gas depends on the material being cut and the desired cutting results. Confirm the recommended gas type, pressure, flow rate, and connection specifications for your application before purchasing supplies.

4. Ventilation and Fume Extraction

Laser cutting, welding, and other processing operations can generate fumes, particles, and potentially hazardous gases, depending on the material and process.
Make sure your workshop has an appropriate fume-extraction and ventilation system. If you're operating in an enclosed indoor space, you may need an additional air-filtration unit compatible with your setup.
Do not rely on general room ventilation alone when effective source extraction is required. Confirm the extraction requirements for the materials you intend to process, and never process unidentified materials that may release hazardous fumes.

5. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Prepare the protective equipment required for your specific laser processes, including:
Laser safety eyewear or a protective face shield with a verified optical density and wavelength rating appropriate for the machine's laser wavelength and exposure conditions.
Protective gloves suitable for the task.
Appropriate protective clothing.
Respiratory protection when required by the material, process, and workplace risk assessment.
Important: Ordinary safety glasses are not a substitute for laser safety eyewear. Verify that all protective equipment is appropriate for the machine's laser source, operating configuration, and applicable safety requirements. Follow the manufacturer's safety instructions and applicable workplace regulations.

6. Materials for Testing and Production

Prepare sample materials that match your intended applications, such as stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, or copper.
If you plan to process reflective metals or materials with different thicknesses, confirm compatibility and recommended operating parameters before starting production.

The right model depends on the type of work you do, the processes you need, and the space and budget available in your workshop.

D-Series Welder — For Welding-Focused Work

The Welder is designed primarily for joining metal components and fabricating metal structures. It is worth considering if welding is the core of your business and you want an alternative to conventional TIG, MIG, or MAG welding processes.

Potential advantages include faster welding on suitable applications, reduced heat input and distortion, and welds that may require less post-processing, depending on the material, joint design, and finish requirements.

Best suited for: Metal fabrication shops, repair workshops, and businesses that primarily join metal parts rather than cut sheet metal.

D-Series Combo Pro — For Versatile Cutting and Welding

The Combo Pro is designed for businesses that need multiple metalworking capabilities in one workstation.

It's a strong fit if:

  • You don't have the space or budget for separate large industrial cutting and welding machines.
  • Your jobs vary from cutting individual parts to assembling and welding finished products.
  • You take on custom projects such as motorcycle exhaust systems, metal art furniture, or small mechanical structures.
  • You want to bring more of the metal fabrication workflow in-house and improve control over production costs and turnaround times.

Best suited for: Custom fabrication shops, motorcycle builders, independent garages, and small businesses handling varied metalworking jobs.

D-Series Ultra Cut — For Cutting-Focused Applications

The Ultra Cut is designed for users who prioritize cutting performance, edge quality, and production efficiency.

Consider this model if you:

  • Need precise cuts, good edge squareness, and effective burr control.
  • Frequently process thicker carbon steel or stainless steel, or suitable reflective metals such as aluminum and brass, within the machine's rated capabilities.
  • Focus on flat sheet-metal parts, repeatable production, or custom cutting jobs.
  • Don't need an integrated welding workflow.

Best suited for: Sheet-metal fabrication shops, custom parts manufacturers, and businesses focused on cutting rather than welding.

How to Choose
  • Choose the Welder if welding is your primary operation.
  • Choose the Combo Pro if you need both cutting and welding in a versatile, space-conscious setup.
  • Choose the Ultra Cut if cutting quality, cutting performance, and sheet-metal production are your main priorities.

Before deciding, compare the exact configuration, supported processes, material thickness limits, and available workspace for each model.

The D-Series brings multiple metalworking capabilities into a compact workstation, backed by SENFENG's industrial laser equipment experience. Here's what sets it apart.

1. More Than a Laser Marking Machine
The D-Series is designed for practical metal fabrication, not just surface marking. Depending on the configuration, it supports multiple processes, including metal cutting, laser welding, cleaning, and engraving.
With laser power options up to 1,200W and positioning specifications of up to ±0.01 mm on applicable configurations, the D-Series brings a broader range of metalworking capabilities to smaller workshops than a conventional low-power marking machine.
Actual results depend on the selected configuration, material, thickness, and processing parameters.

2. Backed by More Than 20 Years of Industrial Laser Expertise
The D-Series draws on SENFENG's more than 20 years of experience in industrial laser equipment research, development, and manufacturing.
It brings technology and engineering experience from larger CNC sheet-metal systems into a more compact workstation designed for smaller businesses and independent workshops.

3. Built for Motion Control andRepeatable Processing
A rigid machine structure, precision linear guides, and responsive servo or closed-loop motion control help support stable movement and consistent processing.
These design elements are intended to help reduce vibration during high-speed operation and improve cutting consistency, edge squareness, and burr control when used within the machine's rated capabilities.

4. Enclosed Design for Workshop Use
The D-Series features an enclosed processing area with safety interlocks, including a lid-opening emergency-stop function where specified, and an integrated fume-extraction system.
Compatible external air-filtration equipment may also be added to suit your workshop setup and processing requirements.
These features can help support installation in independent garages, home workshops, and maker spaces when the machine is installed and operated in accordance with applicable electrical, laser-safety, ventilation, and workplace requirements.

5. Relevant to Real-World Fabrication Businesses
The D-Series is designed for practical applications across a range of metalworking environments, including custom motorcycle workshops, truck repair businesses, independent garages, and small fabrication shops.
Real-world demonstrations, customer projects, and product reviews can help you evaluate how the machine performs in applications similar to your own. We encourage buyers to review available demonstrations and verified customer feedback before making a decision.

6. Bring More Custom Work In-House
For independent fabricators and small businesses selling through platforms such as Etsy or Shopify, outsourcing custom metal parts can involve minimum order quantities, long lead times, and high costs for one-off prototypes.

By bringing suitable cutting and welding jobs in-house, the D-Series can help you produce prototypes, fulfill smaller orders, and respond to custom requests with greater flexibility.

Depending on your workflow and material availability, this may reduce reliance on outside suppliers, shorten turnaround times, and give you more control over production costs and margins.

7. U.S.-Based Service Support

Purchasing equipment is a long-term business decision. SENFENG TOOLS offers U.S.-based service support to help customers with product questions, troubleshooting, and service coordination.

Our goal is to help you get the information and assistance you need throughout the ownership process, from initial setup to ongoing operation.

The on-board ARM controller runs the machine directly, with no tethered PC. It takes the file types you already export — DXF, SVG, AI and common raster formats — and the 7-inch panel handles nesting and job setup.

Most operators run their first job the day it is installed. Installation includes training on your own material, and setup guides and cutting-parameter tables are free to download.

Return it within 30 days in its original condition for a full refund. Before you commit, send a file and your material and we will run the job for you, so you can measure the part before deciding.
